Leica Apo-Summicron-M 90mm f2 ASPH is a medium telephoto lens for taking stunning portraits, candid shots as well as journalistic photos. The fast F2 aperture makes it usable even in dim lighting condition. The lens is made up of 5 elements in 5 groups with apochromatic color correction. Of its 5 elements 2 are made from high refraction glass and 2 features anomalous partial dispersion. The lens has 6-bit coding for data transmission between lens and digital camera body. This allows the camera to identify lens in use and apply necessary correction at final stage of image processing.
