Lensbaby 5.8mm F3.5 circular fisheye lens
Lensbaby has announced a 5.8mm F3.5 circular fisheye lens for Canon and Nikon mounts. It covers 185° angle of view and able to produces a full-circle fisheye image when used with APS-C-sized sensor cameras. The lens can also focus as close as 1/4-inch. This lens is targeted for capturing the scale of endless landscapes and big events, fun self-portraits, quirky shots of pets or friends, creating extreme perspective, and experimenting with unique lens flare. Designed of the internal lens barrel of the Circular Fisheye is deliberately made reflective to allow bright sources of light to form a halo of colorful flare around the image. In flatter light, parts of a scene can also be reflected into the area surrounding the image, as seen in the image below right. Circular fisheye lenses produce an image that is circular, surrounded by black.
It has a built-in aperture control ranging from f/3.5-22 and features an ultra-wide 5.8mm focal length (185 degree angle of view). It focusing range from 1/4 inch to infinity. This extreme close-focusing capability allows to produces unique distortion with exceptional sharpness throughout.
