Leica Apo-Summicron-M 75mm f2 ASPH is an attractive addition to the Leica M line up lenses. Finished in matt black, this medium telephoto lens is a technological marvel. When fitted with a Leica M8 digital camera the focal length equals to 100mm ( 35mm equivalent ). The lens is constructed with 7 elements in 5 groups which features partial anomalous dispersion for optimum image quality. The lens has 6-bit coding for data transmission between lens and digital camera body. This allows the camera to identify lens in use and apply necessary correction at final stage of image processing.
