Canon EOS 6D Firmware Version 1.1.2 Download

Firmware Version 1.1.2 includes the countermeasures addressing a phenomenon which prevents movie files shot using Canon EOS 6D Digital SLR cameras from being played back on YouTube.

Movies shot when the camera was running firmware version 1.0.9 cannot be played back on YouTube, even after the firmware has been updated to 1.1.2. In order to playback these movies on YouTube (movies captured when the camera was running firmware version 1.0.9) please follow the instructions below.

  1. Download the movie file(s) from the EOS 6D camera to your computer.
  2. Start ImageBrowser EX, an application bundled with the EOS 6D.
  3. After selecting the movie file(s) to be uploaded, select [Edit Movies] in the [Edit] tab from the menu bar of ImageBrowser EX.
  4. “MovieEdit Task” will start. Save the movie using the [Save] menu on the screen.
  5. Upload the saved movie to YouTube.
  6. The movie can be played back on YouTube.

More accurate tools

DxO ViewPoint v1.1 provides improved keystoning correction tools and more precise automatic recropping.

It is now possible to move grid lines directly in the image without having to reposition each anchor point; with this, the anchor points, as well as the slider settings, can now be directly and very precisely moved by using the keyboard.

The cropping tool now automatically detects the image’s orientation and is also more easily adjustable.

Faster for an enhanced user experience

Even easier to use, DxO ViewPoint v1.1 is now faster and offers several new features to improve workflow.

A new rotation function allows images to be correctly oriented, even when their EXIF data has been damaged.

A shortcut allows users to go from one zoom level to another, and automatically displays the Hand and Arrow tools, depending on the magnification of the image.

The application has also enhanced the recent Close and Open functions in the menus, and now alerts the user when a keystoning correction cannot be applied to the image.

Both WonderPana Systems allow the use of Fotodiox PRO 145mm round filters including UV, Polarizer and Neutral Density (ND) filters. The large circular filter design prevents the typical glare and unwanted reflection issues often found in other designs.

WonderPana 145 Filter System
The WonderPana 145 Filter System includes a metal adapter hood that accommodates the Fotodiox PRO 145mm round filter format. It is compatible with all Fotodiox PRO 145mm filters, including the new 145mm PRO filters. It is also easily upgradeable to the WonderPana 66, allowing the use of industry standard 6.6” rectangular filters. The WonderPana 145 System holder is available with several different filter kit options.

WonderPana 66 Filter System
The WonderPana 66 Filter System will accept all Fotodiox PRO 145 filters, in addition to industry standard rectangular 6.6” filters from Schneider Optics. The WonderPana 66 System can accommodate two filters at the same time: either two rectangular filters, or one circular and one rectangular filter. Similar rectangular filter systems compatible with LEE (150mm) and Cokin X-Pro (130mm) rectangular filters are also slated for release in 2013.

PRO Filters
Six of the new PRO filters are available in Fotodiox’s exclusive 145mm round format, similar to a traditional round screw-in filter, only much larger in size. These 145mm filters, in concert with the holding system, enable full coverage of the protruding front-lens elements inherent in SWA and UWA lenses in the following filter types: Multi-Coated UV, Circular Polarizer and 4, 8, 16, and 32 ND filters.

Fotodiox is also releasing four 6.6” x 8.6” 4mm thick, rectangular-shaped Graduated Neutral Density filters in the following grades: ND .6 Soft and Hard Edges; and ND .9 Soft and Hard Edges. These CR-39 based ND filters can weather almost any environment, as they are practically unbreakable and scratch resistant. Fotodiox’s revolutionary new filter offerings will enable photographers and filmmakers to achieve balanced horizon shots in camera, eliminating the need for tedious post-production editing.

The WonderPana Systems are available for pre-order starting today on the Fotodiox website and will be released October 15. The WonderPana 66 System starts at $350 and the WonderPana 145 System starts at $200.

As a complement to the WonderPana System, Fotodiox is now taking pre-orders on the WonderBurst HSS-8000, a 1/8000 high-speed sync wireless remote flash trigger compatible with any camera flash or strobe. The WonderBurst HSS-8000 kit includes the receiver and transmitter, and is priced at $79.95. A Sony NEX version, without high-speed sync, is also available for pre-order now for $49.95. SIGMA APO MACRO 180mm F2.8 EX DG OS HSM, a high-performance large aperture telephoto macro lens. This is the world first 180mm 1:1  Macro lens   incorporating Sigma’s original Optical Stabilizer (OS) function with a maximum aperture of F2.8. Its construction includes three FLD (“F” Low Dispersion) glass lenses and a floating inner focusing system for exceptional correction of aberrations that enable this lens to photograph objects accurately throughout the entire focusing range.

The large aperture telephoto macro lens
As a flagship telephoto macro lens, it achieved a uncompromising high rendering performance. Use of three FLD (“F” Low Dispersion) glasses that have a grade equal to fluorite ensure exceptional axial chromatic aberration and lateral chromatic aberration correction. An inner floating focusing system moves two different lens groups in the optical path to different positions. This system helps couter the astigmatism and distortion and provides extremely high optical quality result from infinity to 1:1 macro. The overall length does not change during focusing, which is convenient for handling. Metal parts are used in the lens barrel to ensure high durability.

Optical Stabilizer (OS)
This is the first 180mm optically stabilized telephoto macro lens in the world. This OS offers effective correction of approximately 4 stops. The system works for camera shake even in the macro range photography. Though the effectiveness of OS will gradually decrease as the shooting distance becomes shorter.

Large Maximum Aperture of F2.8
This is the first 180mm telephoto macro lens in the world with a reproduction ratio of 1:1 and offers a maximum aperture of F2.8. The enables photographers to emphasize the subject and provides a bright viewfinder. It also helps to produce excellent bokeh.

Flare and ghosting conscious design
Super Multi-Layer Coating is used to to achieve high rendering on this flagship lens. The flare and ghosting were thoroughly measured from an early stage to establish an optical design which is resistant to strong incident light such as backlight. The Super Multi-Layer Coating reduces flare and ghosting and provides sharp and high contrast images even in a backlit conditions. The hood adapter extends the length of the lens hood and provides more effective shading to block out extraneous light which may have a harmful influence on the lens’s rendering performance. Using the APS-C Hood Adapter HA780-01 with digital cameras with Full Frame image sensor may result vignetting. Please remove the hood adapter if you are using it in Full fame Cameras.

Hyper Sonic Motor (HSM) is incorporated
This lens incorporates HSM (Hyper Sonic Motor) to ensuring high speed and quiet AF as we as full time manual focus capability.

Brass made bayonet mount
For added accuracy and durability this lens incorporates a brass made bayonet mount. A special treatment applied to it’s surface to reinforce its strength, giving it greater strength and making it highly resistant to long-term use.

Rounded diaphragm
Its 9 rounded blade diaphragm produces an attractive round blur to the out of focus areas or bokeh effect of the image.

APO Tele Converters
The addition of Sigma’s 1.4x EX DG APO or 2x EX DG APO TELE CONVERTER produce a 252mm F4 AF telephoto macro lens* or a 360mm F5.6 MF telephoto macro lens respectively. Tele Converters can also be used to extend the maximum magnification ratio beyond 1:1. AF can operate between infinity and 0.67m

The large aperture of F1.4 is especially ideal for portrait and low light photography. When used on digital cameras with an APS-C size image sensor, the lens effectively becomes a 127.5mm F1.4 lens.
