Adobe Photoshop CC 2015.5.1 Fixes Several Issues
Adobe has released version 2015.5.1 for Photoshop CC 2015.5 which fixes several issues.
Issues resolved
- Fixed customer submitted crashing issues
- Subtool reverts to primary tool after using keyboard shortcut
- Unable to Export individual layers that are nested in Artboard > Group
- “Rasterize EPS Format” dialogue box doesn’t remember Mode setting
- Embed color profile result reflects whatever it was set last time
- Text accidentally commits when try to transform Paragraph text using bounding box transform handles
- Cursor doesn’t correctly change to Commit cursor to differentiate from Rotate and Move cursor
- Print color is off when using App Manage Color (Mac only)
- Error: “Could not apply the workspace because the file was not found” when opening a file
- Several fixes and improvements for Select and Mask:
- Select and Mask: Command not available on non-pixel layer masks
- Select and Mask: Refine Edge Brush Tool creating artifacts along the brush stroke in mask
- Select and Mask: Redraw corruption (RGB 16bit/32 bit) with Show Original in certain zoom levels (preview mode “black and white”)
- Select and Mask: Using the Refine edge brush on one area of a pre-existing selection may cause certain hard edges in another area to change a few pixel values, especially when the image is in very high resolution
- Select and Mask: Using brush tool with feather 8 or more and zoom level 50 or lower get redraw issue
- Select and Mask: With a selection, the output defaults to selection, even if the previous output setting was a mask
- Select and Mask: Inverting a selection outputs the original selection
- Select and Mask: Crash when double-clicking adjustment mask
- Select and Mask: Program error when image is multi-channel

New Sigma Firmware Fixes Exposure Inaccuracy With Nikon D500
This update resolves the phenomenon that the exposure may not be accurate when following SIGMA interchangeable lenses for NIKON are used on a Nikon D500, which was released on April 28th, 2016 by Nikon Corporation.

Support for SnapBridge, which expands the ways in which photos are enjoyed
The camera supports SnapBridge, which uses Bluetooth® low energy (BLE) technology to establish a connection between the camera and a smart device. Photos taken with the camera can be automatically transferred*1 to a smart device, and if uploaded from SnapBridge, an unlimited number of thumbnail images can be automatically uploaded*2 from the smart device to Nikon’s photo sharing service, NIKON IMAGE SPACE. Because photos can be transferred via the Internet or shared using an SNS the moment they are taken, sharing the exciting and dramatic moments that occur at leisure destinations is easy.

The new Laowa 12mm f/2.8 Lens features a close-to-zero optical distortion, allowing photographers to take landscape/architecture shots with straight lines retained. Featuring a widest angle of view (122°) ever built with a f/2.8 lens, the Laowa Lens is an ideal lens for a variety types of photography. From landscape, architecture, interior, travel to the most important one, astro photography. The combination of ultra wide-angle and fast aperture makes this lens a perfect tool for creating impressive milky way shots.
The Laowa 12mm f/2.8 Lens is designed for photographers for everyday use and hence the weight and size has been controlled to the minimal. The lens weighs only 1.34 pounds (0.6kg) and has a front diameter of 77mm. Venus Optics also offers a filter holder which is designed to fit 2 pieces of 100mm filters and 1 piece of Circular Polariser.
The lens incorporates with 16 elements in 10 groups optical design, including 3 pieces of Extra-Low Dispersion elements and 2pc of Aspherical Elements. This design not only delivers an outstanding image sharpness and controls the distortion to the minmal, but also controls the chromatic aberration at its lowest level. Laowa Magic Shift Converter
Along with the new Laowa 12mm f/2.8 Lens, Venus Optics also announces the Laowa Magic Shift Converter which is able to enlarge the full frame image circle through the 4pcs of elements inside the converter. The enlarged image circle provides sufficient image field for lenses shifting by a maximum of 10mm without vignetting. It will transform the Laowa 12mm f/2.8 Lens (DSLR mount) into a 17mm f/4 Professional Shift Lens with +/- 10mm shift capability for Full-Frame E-mount cameras. This new NIKKOR lens is ideal for professional and advanced enthusiast photographers, especially those capturing portraiture, from in-studio fashion to a golden hour engagement session on the beach. Packed with the latest advanced optical innovations, the 105mm f/1.4 features Nikon’s electromagnetic aperture control technology for consistent exposures, even during high speed continuous shooting.
On the outside, solid build quality is well-balanced for all-day shooting, while the lens is sealed and gasketed to resist dust and moisture. Additional Fluorine coatings are used on the front and rear elements, so that smudges, dirt or moisture are easily removed. Inside the lens, the optical formula consists of 14 elements in nine groups, which include three ED glass elements. A 9-blade diaphragm further helps to create a circular, pleasing out of focus area. The lens also features Nikon’s Nano Crystal Coat technology to significantly reduce instances of ghosting and flare.
The new AF-S NIKKOR 105mm f/1.4E ED joins other NIKKOR f/1.4 lenses in the Gold Ring Series, which include only premium primes with Nano Crystal Coat and pro-grade build quality.
