Nauticam announced their first mirrorless housing – The NA-NEX6 housing for the Sony Alpha NEX-6 Cameras. The NA-NEX6 offers more choices for underwater photographers who are jumping in to the rapidly changing interchangeable lens camera field. Nauticam designed the new NA-NEX6 to meet the different demands of underwater photographers. The new housing will offer an intuitive upgrade to those moving beyond an LCD-only compact system with comfortable and logical interface. The body armor is made from aluminum with a scratch-resistant acrylic rear cover. It will be able provide protection up to 100 meters depth. It also features a single-lock housing, a patented lens attachment mechanism which allows photographers to change lenses without removing the camera from the housing and improved port system. The NA-NEX6 is available in the US at a retail price of $1650.
