A medium range telephoto lens the AF-S DX Zoom-Nikkor 55-200mm f/4-5.6G ED has a wide f-stop of f/4 available at 55mm and f/5.6 available at 200mm. this is lens satisfies the needs of a landscape, sports and action photographer. It can even be used for portraiture as it is basically a medium range telephoto lens.
Nikon’s Silent Wave Motor makes this lens quiet during auto-focusing. The presence of two Extra-Low dispersion glass elements ensures that the lens has a reduced affect from color fringing and better color saturation in the final photos. Additionally Nikon has also provided Super Integrated Coating (SIC) on the lens.
The lens diaphragm is mad up of 9 beautiful rounded blades. This I what enables the user to capture a beautiful bokeh (soft out of focus effect of the foreground or the background).
