The AF-S Teleconverter TC-17E II is a teleconverter that extends the focal length of a select group of compatible Nikkor lenses by 1.7x. This is a powerful teleconverter which is by far one of most effective from Nikon’s stable. It is ideally suitable for the purpose of shooting landscape, wild life, sports and action photography, extending the focal length range of compatible lenses to telephoto or medium telephoto range with minimum fuss.

Nikon Integrated Coating (NIC) ensures that the lens has a high degree of light transmission efficiency which makes sure that the lens has a good amount of color consistency and reduced flare.

The lens has a total of 7 elements arranged in 4 different groups. It is compatible with both Nikon’s DX and FX format (select group of) lenses. It is pertinent that before purchasing the AF-S Teleconverter TC-17E II it is advisable to check that the same is compatible with the lens that you intend to use it with.

Nikon’s Silent Wave Motor (SWM) technology is provided in the lens which ensures that when the AF-S Teleconverter TC-17E II is focusing, it is perfectly quiet for the surrounding. This is ideal when the teleconverter is being used with a lens that also has SWM technology for shooting wildlife.
