The PC-E Micro NIKKOR 85mm f/2.8D lens is a great lens that has a wide shifting range of approx 11.5mm and a tilting range of 8.5mm. It offers a great deal of control for the pro-shooter. This medium telephoto perspective Control lens has a revolving capacity of 90 degrees in increments of 30 degrees. It has a wide shifting range of 11.5mm and a tilting range of 8.5 degrees.

Nikon has provided both Super Integrated Coating (SIC) and Nano Crystal coating (N) for superior lens flare & ghosting suppression. Auto aperture control is possible using the electromagnetic diaphragm. This is possible however on D3, D700 and D300 DSLRs.

The maximum aperture of the lens is f/2.8 and it can stop down to f/32. The lens diaphragm is made up of 9 diaphragm blades and ensures that fine bokeh is possible the rounded blades. The maximum viewing angle of the lens is 18°50′ on a DX format. The same on a FX format camera is 28°30′.
