Sigma claims that the new OS technology provides up to four stops of image stabilization for the lens. If you’re a Sony or Pentax user the image that you see in the viewfinder is optically stabilized providing ease and comfort of composing. Additionally the lens also has Sigma’s silent auto-focusing technology known as HSM (Hyper-sonic Motor). The lens can be used with Sigma’s 1.4X MF and 2X MF tele converters which further give it a further focal length reach.
