The Sony DT 18–55mm F3.5–5.6 SAM II is a standard kit lens for APS-C type cameras. Its 35mm equivalent focal length is 27-82mm. The lens has been optimized to take advantage of new generation Sony cameras. It features a 8 elements in 7 groups design with one ED and two aspherical glass for aberration and flare free image. Moreover the new auto focus system and internal improvement helps it to achieve smoother operation. The lightweight and compact appearance makes it an ideal companion for unobtrusive photography.
