Tamron 18-270mm f/3.5-6.3 XR Di II PZD Lens
Designed for APS-C sensor based smaller bodied DSLRs the Tamron 18-270mm f/3.5-6.3 XR Di II PZD has an image circle optimized for such cameras. It offers the same field of view as a 27-405mm lens mounted on full frame DSLR (15.x Nikon mount). Please note that the lens will not work on a full frame DSLR.
This lens encompasses Tamron’s Vibration Correction (VC) feature which is imperative for a lens of such high focal length. This lens can be used for shooting wide angle landscapes, zooming in 15x to capture subjects from a far away distance without any blur. Because of its vast reach the lens is ideal for most travelers who would probably mount one of these on their DSLRs and never take it off again.
This lens also encompasses Tamron’s piezoelectric auto-focus drive motor. This advanced ultrasonic auto-focusing mechanism makes the lens silent and quick during auto-focusing. Advanced technologies culminates in a result that is less in weight than many of its compatriots and competitors out their in the market.
Performance wise the fast f/3.5 aperture is suitable for most lighting conditions and is sharp all throughout. However if you’re looking for a lens that is faster then probably you should look for a wide angle prime rather than wide-tele zoom lens rather than this one.
