Built for the X Mount Fuji cameras the FUJINON XF18-55mm F2.8-4 R LM OIS lens comes with optical image stabilization. This lens is particularly great and works like charm with the Mirrorless Interchangeable Lens camera like Fujifilm XE-1. Thanks to the state of the art contrast detection feature and the responsive linear motor, the XE-1 pairs nicely with the XF18-55mm to lock on focus very fast (in fact in only 0.1 seconds).
This extremely high quality all glass lens is designed with 14 lens elements arranged in 10 groups including 3 aspherical elements and 1 extra low dispersion element. The FUJINON XF18-55mm F2.8-4 R LM OIS has a focal length range of 18-55mm which when converted to 35mm format equivalent becomes 27-84mm. It offers an angle of view of 79.1˚-28.4˚. The widest aperture of the lens is f/2.8 at 18mm (27mm at 35mm format equivalent) and f/4 at 55mm (84mm at 35mm format equivalent). The lens can stop down to f/22.
The FUJINON XF18-55mm F2.8-4 R LM OIS features linear motor driven auto-focusing mechanism that allows fast and precise auto-focus. The lens features OIS technology from Fuji which ensures that when hand held it is possible to use a shutter speed up to four stops slower.
